Jon Attiwell
Jon is a partner in BJFS and has 25 years industry experience. In addition to holding the Chartered Insurance Institute Financial Planning Certificate Jon has a Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice. Jon is married and a proud father of two children, being a keen rugby supporter sport is high on the family agenda.
Stacy Joyner
Stacy joined Basil James as a fully qualified mortgage broker in early 2008, having spent the previous 10 years working in estate agency, so she has a lot of experience within the property industry. Stacy is married, has a young son and spends her spare time riding her horse, snowboarding and walking her two dogs.
Paul Langley
Paul Langley joined Basil James Financial Services in 2001 and was made a partner of the firm in 2011. He previously worked in residential Estate Agency, Property Management and the Financial Services sector since 1986 so has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to property related matters. Paul is married and has 2 children. His passion is playing golf (badly) when time permits.
Stephen Murphy
Stephen holds the Chartered Institute Financial Planning Certificate alongside the Certificate in Mortgage Advice CF6. He has a flexible approach to meeting clients to assess their mortgage and protection needs at a time and place convenient to them. Stephen is married with two children and enjoys playing cricket, running and watching sport.

Paul Attiwell
Paul has worked in financial services for longer than he will admit and spent several years advising clients of a national building society before working as a financial adviser with a bank. He is a firm believer that access to professional financial advice should be readily available and affordable to all and when required should be presented in a friendly and understandable way. He helped to set up Basil James Financial Services in 1998 with the aim of offering advice on this basis and has remained loyal to this basic principle ever since. He is married with a grown up son.
Daniel Burnell
Daniel is a fully qualified Mortgage and Protection Consultant and joined Basil James in 2018 having spent the previous 5 years working within estate agents as an in-house advisor, so has a wealth of knowledge with the entire home buying process. Although a Mortgage Consultant Daniel specialises in providing top quality Protection and Insurance advice at Basil James. Daniel is married with two children and in his spare time can either be found playing rugby or watching any sport in general.
Danielle Tate
Danielle joined Basil James in 2021 as a Mortgage and Protection consultant and having spent the previous 13 years working for a Building Society, she has a lot of experience when it comes to the financial industry. Danielle, who lives with her partner and two young children, enjoys spending her weekends supporting her son on the football sideline and taking the children to explore the great outdoors.
Pat Hughes
Pat has worked in the financial services industry for over 30 years and holds certificates in Mortgage Advice and Practice as well as Equity Release. Pat is married with a grown up son and is a keen amateur artist with paintings on view in the office.
Peter Francis
Peter has worked within the financial services industry for over 40 years. This experience has covered all aspects of financial planning including mortgages, investments, pensions and insurances. Peter acts as an administrator within the team and outside of work he enjoys walking his dog in the Somerset countryside and watching sport.
