Moving Mortgage 
Basil James will review your current mortgage with you, including identifying any early repayment charges to your existing lender should you require a new mortgage with a different lender. Some mortgages are “portable” which means you will be able to take them with you when you move, however you will still need to reapply for the mortgage and either your circumstances or the lenders criteria may have changed, meaning you need to look at alternative products. 
If you do meet the criteria and your mortgage is portable, we can then compare the product you already have against other mortgages available, helping you to decide whether moving your mortgage is the best option for you. 
We can advise which products you should apply for - different lenders have different criteria, for example some will not lend on properties above a shop or in a high rise, we can assess which mortgages you are likely to be accepted for based on property type, income and credit score, avoiding unnecessary time making applications.
